Thiruvalluvar University is a public state university established in 2002 by Government of Tamilnadu in the city of Vellore, Tamilnadu. It was named after a Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar. Post graduate courses are offered in this university. It has been seven departments Tamil, English, Economics, Zoology, chemistry, Mathematics and Bio-Technology. Nearly 123 Arts and science colleges are affiliated to this university.
